The University Scheme set a challenge. To walk a copy of the ‘DKW Cup’ through out the country, while at the same time raising money for the Grand Charity to split amongst the charitable interests of the Late Prince Phillip.
On the 31st of August we collected the cup from Boswells Lodge at the Harlow Masonic Centre, and then the next day our valiant team of Brother Jack Crosby and Worshipful Brother Peter Lucas set out on a walk from the Hertfordshire University campus in Hatfield, to the St Albans Masonic Centre, Ashwell House, via St Albans Cathedral. The cup was then handed over to a representative of Onslow Lodge from Middlesex.
The route was roughly five and a half miles and chosen to represent the University we are connected, the city of St Albans where the Lodge is based, and the Masonic Centre where the Lodge meets.
