For our October meeting we teamed up with the Fleet House Light Blues Club (FHLBC). During the day they had been hosting the 2021 New And Young Masons Club Conference at the Ashwell House Masonic Centre in St Albans, the same place we were due to host our meeting.

Timed to start just as the conference finished a few of our members, including our Worshipful Master, rushed upstairs to join us in the Temple along with a number of the FHLBC. With the minutes and Lodge internal minutes out of the way over 40 delegates from the conference, plus guests joined us to witness a superb ceremony where our three new Brothers were Initiated in Salisbury Union Lodge’s unique style.

As well as members of the Lodge, seven members of the FHLBC also assisted in the ceremony, helping keeping the connection with conference going until the Festive Board. The bar has been raised and I am sure it will continue up onwards, no pressure to the present Director of Ceremonies or his future replacements.

And to finish the evening, over 80 at the Festive Board with plenty of banter and enthusiasm, rounded off with rousing speeches from the Provincial Grand Master, RW Brother Neil Connolly, and our Worshipful Master, along with of course the much applauded responses from our new Initiates.
